McAfee Free Antivirus Program
If you think you might have a virus but don't have any anti-virus software, download this
free program. You can run it whenever you like, to check your system.
This is a simple standalone antivirus program that is made by the same
company that makes the well known
McAfee antivirus program.
It is free, and is up-to-date against all known viruses as at the 18-12-03.
Although completely effective it does not have all the fancy features of a full
antivirus program.
Instructions: 1.
After you click on the link above, choose to save the file to your hard
drive.
2. Your desktop might be a good place to put it but it doesn't matter where, as
long as you can find it after it has finished downloading.
3. Find the file (it's called Stinger.exe) and click on it to run the program.
4. Select the 'Scan Now' button and let it go... It might take quite a long time
so make yourself a cup of tea and relax.
If it finds a virus it will automatically try to fix it.
You can run this program whenever you like in the future to check for
possible infections.

further advice.
